We are thrilled to introduce Rob the Builder, a cherished member of the Sunrise Homes team! Rob the Builder stays busy helping us create incredible homes, but luckily, he had the time to chat with us so we can help you get to know him better. We are a huge fan of Rob the Builder, and we think you will be too!

Rob Smith is our Construction Superintendent; he oversees our homebuilding process from dirt to dream home! With over 40 years of both residential and commercial construction experience, Rob is the most seasoned Superintendent veteran on our team. 

A Superintendent’s job is ever changing, and Rob flourishes in his trusted role. Key components of Rob’s day to day duties include maintaining a construction schedule by guaranteeing all utilities are in place, scheduling subcontractors for each trade and ensuring materials are delivered to our home sites on time. His role also entails maintaining cleanliness at each building site, ensuring our high quality of workmanship is achieved in every home. Rob never misses the opportunity to stop for a quick chat about the latest game or to answer a homeowner’s question about anything from homeowner maintenance to how often to water new sod. 

Rob the Builder plays a significant role in interacting with both our homeowners and subcontractors on-site to ensure everyone is on the same page. He also regularly communicates with our sales team to coordinate events and so much more! The consensus is a Sunrise event is incomplete without our Rob! 

Rob stays motivated by the obstacles presented by the ever-changing housing market and Sunrise Homes’ consistent ability to adapt efficiently. His favorite part of the job is watching the architecture come together from sketches on notebooks, to initial floor plans to the welcome home mat placed at the front door for our homeowners! 

The most challenging aspect of Rob the Builder’s role is dealing with the current lack of building material availability. Typically, our team can provide fairly accurate timelines for our construction time, but supply issues have occasionally made construction schedules difficult to predict. Despite this challenge, the most rewarding part of his job is the joy of greeting a new homeowner at their brand-new home and feeling their excitement! 

Rob’s response to how he loves to spend his free time. WHO DAT! (For the non-locals, which means he is a big Saints football fan!) Enjoying crawfish boils with the family is also an all-time favorite pastime for Rob.
