"A casual sophistication paired with hints of the eclectic cultural scene of New Orleans was the design direction for the Dauphine model home.

Interestingly, the color inspiration for the home all started with one simple fabric, a gorgeous print simulating a watercolor painting with a spectrum of purple, green and yellow flowers. It can be seen on the front bolster pillow found in the dreamy master bedroom. Upon entering this home, visitors are greeted by a high ceiling with detailed paneling and a classic statement light inviting them to explore further. To the right of the foyer is the home’s master bedroom, where a mix of rich textures and vivid colors pop against the neutral shades of the furniture. The room is highlighted by a white, wood planked head board that adds unique character to the design while acting as a blank canvas for the vibrant colored décor. Continuing into the model, visitors arrive in the bright and open floor plan of the great room. All eyes are immediately drawn to the display of floor-to-ceiling windows along the back of the house which invite sunlight to dance on the gorgeous hardwood floors. A beautiful plum colored accent wall plays well with the transitional décor complimented by rustic touches. Moving from the great room, visitors are directed towards the upper floor, where they are greeted by a large and playful flex space. With hints of jazz inspired art and accessories, this bonus room is an inviting space for family to watch TV, relax or entertain. While we only spent a few days in the city of New Orleans, it is hard not to be inspired, uplifted and drawn into the brilliant culture, mouthwatering food and over-the-top night life.
