Holiday traditions are a fun and exciting way to bring those who are close to us even closer during the holiday season. Here at Sunrise homes one of our holiday traditions, not only brings excitement, but a little bit of good ol’ southern competition to the office!

Our 2019 Holiday Door Decoration Contest has been in full swing the past few weeks! Craft paper, glitter and double-sided tape have been put to good use and the results are in! This year’s competition had an open theme policy, which gave each office partner more room to explore their creative minds. Each contestant’s door was judged by their Overall Visual Impact, Craftsmanship, Completeness, and Originality/Creativity. Our panel of judges were hand selected from outside of Sunrise Homes to insure the winner of this year’s Holiday Door Decoration Competition and the receiver of the Champions Crown was selected purely on their door decorating ability.  

On December 20^th the judges scores were submitted and checked twice, as all traditional holiday list must be. Before we begin the celebration, announcing our 2019 Champion, we must give a round of applause to our 2^nd and 3^rd place runner up. Each office member did an amazing job this year and made the competition very tight. Aimee and Beci with Title Closing Group show off their door with the “Grinch” and Jack and Miranda both in our Purchasing Department with their crafty Santa door, tie for second this year! Joy came in third place with her beautiful candy cane design. Had taste been a category on the judges list she would have won for sure!

And the Sunrise Homes 2019 Holiday Door Decorating Champion is... Amanda P!          

Amanda is our newest member in Accounting and swept away the competition this year with her adorable hippopotamus themed door. She is a fun and hardworking partner to have on the team. Her creativity and craftsmanship go far beyond her door decorating abilities. She may have not gotten a hippopotamus for Christmas, but she did get bragging rights to the Champions Crown until next year’s competition!                        

We love our fun, creative and competitive team here at Sunrise Homes. Working with such a great and attentive team is such a blessing.
